National Team: Construct the Cure - Western PA

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Western PA Chapter established Construct the Cure to highlight the construction industry in Western PA, as well as, individual company involvement with the CF Foundation’s largest national fundraiser, Great Strides.

Great Strides provides a fantastic opportunity for co-workers, family, friends, colleagues, and local companies to come together and make a difference. The event harnesses the power of people with a shared vision and encourages collaboration, team building, and leadership, as we take steps to find a cure.

Now in its second year, Construct the Cure has set a goal to raise $30,000 for the Great Strides Pittsburgh walk on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Heinz Field. As a participant, you will receive the exclusive opportunity to network with our CF community and fellow industry leaders on walk day, while helping to “build” hope for a cure for all those living with cystic fibrosis!

The CF Foundation continues to lead the way in innovative research and drug development, promoting high-quality, individualized care, and helping people with CF live better today. Nearly every CF drug was made possible by the Foundation and because of funds raised from Great Strides, people with CF are living longer, healthier lives and pursuing their dreams.

While we have come so far, we still have so much work to do. The lives of people with this disease are still cut far too short. Here’s how you can support our efforts:

Start a Team!

• Click on “Create a Branch Team.” Type “Pittsburgh” in the event name box, click the search bar, and then click “Start a Construct the Cure-Western PA Team.”
• Follow the prompts to log in. Make sure that ‘Construct The Cure – Western PA’ and ‘National Corporate Team’ are selected in the drop-down boxes. Then follow the rest of the prompts to complete your registration!

Join a Team as a Walker!

• You can join any of our existing branch teams as a walker, or virtually, by clicking “Join a Branch Team.” Select your team from the list provided and follow the prompts to complete your registration!

Make a Donation!

• Donate to any of our individual walkers by clicking “Donate to a Walker” at the top of the screen and follow the prompts. No amount is too small, as every dollar puts us ones step closer to a cure!
