Our Story
There
are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms,
dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle
every day just to breathe. We walk for them. Will you join us? There are two
ways you can become a member of our National Family team.
Thank you for all the continued support over the years. Hard to believe its been 4 years since Jon and Emily's diagnosis. Well a lot has happened in those years, good and bad. Jon's CF-related Chronic Pancreatitis progressed and his health continued to decline. Then a miracle happened. An procedure became available for him, a Total Pancreatectomy and Auto Islet Cell Transplant (TP/AIT). Yes that is right Jon does not have a pancreas anymore, hence no more pancreatitis. So now his health is improving, slowly, but improving. Emily has been starting to feel the effects of CF on her health. She is doing well but there has been a definite change in the progression of the disease. Last year we took off from fundraising because we were a bit busy with Jon's medical care. But, we are back and with strength. With Vengence against CF! So we need your help.
