National Team: Team Page Title

Our son Beckett just celebrated his 6th birthday on March 13th and it is hard to believe that we have walked and raised money for cystic fibrosis for 7 years at the Portland, Great Strides walk.  We found out Beckett had cystic fibrosis in a genetic test less than a week before he was born, since that day we have learned a lot about advances in cystic fibrosis and have become increasingly hopeful for Beckett’s future.  We have so much hope in the new drugs currently in trial and we know our fundraising has a direct impact on Beckett’s future.

Beckett is an energetic and kind boy.  He is in Kindegarten this year!  Beckett loves legos, reading, playing T ball and trampolining with his friends.  He is a normal little boy who doesn’t realize any of his daily activities are out of the norm, but Beckett spends up to 2 hours a day in his vest, his nebulizer and takes many vitamins, prescriptions and enzymes to stay healthy each day.

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them. Will you join us? There are two ways you can become a member of our National Family team.

1. You can join any of our teams across the country as a walker and help fundraise by clicking the Join Our Team Button above.

2. You can lead your own team under our National Family team in a walk local to you and help recruit others to walk with you by clicking Find a Walk and following the prompts to register for a walk near you.

By becoming a member of our team and making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
