My Xtreme Hike Story

HELLO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!

As many of you know, each year I participate in the Xtreme Hike event put on by the Orange County Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to raise funds and awareness for folks living with and fighting Cystic Fibrosis.

On Saturday 09/07/2024 we’ll be hiking at Xtreme elevations and across Xtreme distances through Mammoth Lakes!!!

The fete that I face to train for this challenge in the weeks ahead is one that simply doesn't compare to the challenges that people diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis face every day, every hour, every minute of their lives. Will you consider making a difference and supporting our fight to turn “CF” into “Cure Found” by giving to my Xtreme Hike fundraising campaign today? Donate an amount that is meaningful to you!

I’m here to tell you that YOUR DONATIONS DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
With the support of the generous hearts that have donated to the CF Foundation, a new drug called Trikafta was developed by the CF Foundation and approved by the FDA in 2019, which will give up to 90% of the CF population a drug therapy that significantly increases their lung function. AMAZING! But there’s still 10% of the population who doesn’t benefit from this drug therapy, so we’re still fighting! We can find a cure for 100% of the CF population. We just need your support!

Anything and everything helps! Thank you so very much for your support behind me, those living with CF, and those fighting for a cure!

About CF:

Cystic fibrosis is a rare, life-shortening, genetic disease found in about 30,000 people in the U.S., which causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers – all struggling each day just to breathe and live normal, healthy lives.

Sixty years ago, most children with cystic fibrosis did not live long enough to attend elementary school, but thanks to Foundation-based research and care, many people with CF are now living into their forties – achieving milestones once thought not possible, such as attending college, pursuing careers, and having a family of their own.

While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with CF today.

Please make a difference and support me by giving to my Xtreme Hike fundraising campaign today.
