Our Xtreme Hike Story

Shaina's Hikers is a team of dedicated CF supporters. The group started with "Main Shain" and her involvement with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a young child. She was connected closely to a family of a child diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and participated in the yearly stair climb to raise funds and awareness for the CF Foundation to support those suffering from the genetic disorder. 

Fast forward to adulthood and Shaina has dedicated her life to finding a cure for CF. She has spent the last 10+ years working for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Southern California Chapter building countless connections, supporting families of those affected by and living with CF, spreading awareness for the disease, and raising funds for research to find a cure. 

Morgan and Shaina have been lifelong best friends (30 years this year!) and through Shaina's involvement with the CF Foundation, Morgan has joined Shaina's Hikers at Xtreme Hike every year since 2019. Morgan has developed a deep rooted passion for supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and those affected by CF as a result. In 2023, we grew our team with another one of Shaina's long time friend's, Holland, and one of Morgan's amazing co-workers, Weirouh!

As a team raising awareness for CF, we've hiked from Idyllwild to Mount San Jacinto (2019 Xtreme Hike), Crystal Cove in Newport Beach (2020 Xtreme Hike), Big Bear Lake to Bertha Peak (2021 Xtreme Hike), Mammoth Lakes to Duck Pass (2022 Xtreme Hike), and Sequoia National Park (a rainy but beautiful trek to see the General Sherman Tree in 2023) along with numerous training hikes along the Mission Trails, Cougar Crest Trails, Pacific Crest Trails, John Muir Wilderness Trails!
