Thank you for visiting our team page. Amerant Bank Miami Lakes is participating in this years Great Strides walk in our community. Michael Quesada, one of our Banking Specialist in Miami Lakes, lost his brother Danny last year to this disease. This will be the 19th year the Quesada family participates in the Great Strides campaign aimed at finding the cure for cystic fibrosis.
Danny and his mother relocated to North Carolina in the early spring of 2019 as he was listed for a double lung transplant. He remained stable and gained weight until he developed pneumonia on August 26th and was hospitalized. After a grueling 30 days in the ICU, Danny lost his battle with cf on September 25th. We plan to continue the fight we started together to find an end to this horrific disease. We will continue to do this the same way Danny lived his life, FULL THROTLE!!!
You can donate on this page and join us the morning of April 18th at Graham Park in Miami Lakes to continue to raise awareness and keep Danny’s fighting spirit alive.
Please share this with friends, family and collogues and help us continue to raise funds so that others with cf do not need to go through what Danny did.
You can visit our website www.runningwithdanny.org to read more about Danny and his life as well as follow us on social media on the Running with Danny pages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Our family thanks you for the continued support and generosity you have shown us throughout the years. See you on Saturday the 18th!!!
Thank you and God Bless!!!

Foundation-Sponsored Indoor and Outdoor Events and Gatherings
The Foundation is closely following the evolving coronavirus outbreak. We will continue to monitor coronavirus guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and assess whether we need to change any scheduled events.
To reduce the risk of getting and spreading germs at CF Foundation-sponsored events, we ask that everyone follow basic best practices by regularly cleaning your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow, and maintaining a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection. Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact, as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function.
To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation's attendance policy recommends inviting only one person with CF to attend the indoor portion of a Foundation-sponsored event at a specific time. For the outdoor portion, the Foundation recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times.
