About Xtreme Hike
Every Xtreme Hike participant is committed to helping advance a cure for cystic fibrosis. By joining us at 2024 Vail Xtreme Hike you can help us reach this lifesaving goal.
The Vail Xtreme Hike is a weekend like no other! On Saturday participants will hike up Vail Mountain on well-maintained trails with breathtaking views of the Gore Mountain Range. The full route is 20 miles, but with access to the resort’s two gondolas, hikers can “choose their own adventure” on the many trails and loops available. The elevation of the Colorado Rockies provides a unique and serious challenge for this event, with a starting elevation of 8,000 feet and reaching 11,000 feet at the summit.
The Hike Weekend Experience
Hikers will enjoy accommodations for two nights (Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28) at the Hythe Vail located in Vail’s Lionshead Village. This 3-day experience also includes an energizing, pre-hike welcome dinner on Friday evening, a pre-hike breakfast, snacks at the rest stops, a post party happy hour and dinner and a “Victory” breakfast on Sunday.
As participants prepare for the physical challenge, hikers are encouraged to raise at least $2,500 through their personal and social media campaigns. The Vail Xtreme Hike is limited to 50 people.
