About Our Great Strides Walk
Great Strides is now Great Rides
We can’t wait to bring the CF community together for Sacramento Great Strides on May 15, 2021!
This year we’re turning Great Strides into a car parade to celebrate your efforts towards finding a cure for CF. Because many of us could use a vacation after this past year, we invite you to “getaway” to our Great Strides island in Sacramento, CA!
In addition to our island getaway car parade, Sacramento Great Strides will have a virtual component and experience so that everyone in our community can participate and help make a difference for people living with cystic fibrosis.
Register today to join us for our Great Strides car parade or to walk virtually. We look forward to safely bringing our community together and making CF stand for Cure Found.
We hope you’ll join us at Sacramento Great Strides!

Can’t join us at our island getaway car parade? Register and participate virtually to help the CF Foundation stay the course and advance our mission in an uncertain time.
Recruit. Recruit others to participate with you! They can drive a car in the car parade or participate virtually. Friends, family, and co-workers can join you virtually from anywhere in the world.
Fundraise. Fundraise online by leveraging the tools in the Participant Center, the Fight CF mobile app, and Facebook to reach your goal. Create a virtual passion fundraising event by developing a fundraising event through your favorite hobby, activity, or passion.
Share your Journey. Wear your event shirt, team shirt, or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation branded apparel while you walk, run, or drive in the parade. Track your activity leading up to the event on the Fight CF mobile app so you and your team can participate together and with others across the country. Share how you’re participating by sharing your story and posting a selfie on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Make sure to tag the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (@CF_Foundation) and our local chapter (@CFFSacramento and @CFFNorthernCalifornia) on Facebook or on Instagram (@CFF_Sacramento and @CFF_NorCal). Also, remember to use the hashtag #GreatStrides to keep the energy and momentum going strong!
Celebrate! Decorate your car for our island getaway in advance, pack up the snacks, and join us for virtual festivities before and during the car parade.
