We are so excited to announce our Xtreme Hike will be held in-person, September 18th-20th. If you’d like to join us, fundraise, or have any questions about how we are safely re-creating the weekend & socially-distantancing on the trail, please email sbaker@cff.org.

The Hiker’s Journey

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Xtreme Hike program takes hikers through some of the most scenic trails in the nation to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis. Xtreme Hike is about reaching new heights physically and philanthropically. It is a journey of passion, determination, and personal triumph, as much as it is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with cystic fibrosis.

For the first time in the Pacific Northwest, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is reaching new heights – 27.6 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail. All hikers will enjoy accommodations for three days and two nights in Mt. Hood. On Saturday, we will shuttle you to Olallie Lake, and hike all day with the support of experienced and professional trail guides from Rare Earth Adventures. After 3000’ elevation gain and a full day of adventure, we’ll end the night at Timothy Lake, and shuttle you back to your warm hotel room. Sunday morning we’ll come together as a group to eat all of the calories we burned off, and share trail stories with our new friends.

The journey starts the moment you sign up. As participants prepare for the physical challenge, hikers are encouraged to raise $2,500 through their personal and social media campaigns. Your CFF fundraising partner will help you every step of the way. You will receive personal coaching, participate in training hikes, and connect with a community of people who share your aspiration to reach new heights. Learn about Xtreme Hike events across the country.
