Insure the Cure 2023
Since 2011, the Atlanta insurance community has come together to form Insure the Cure and walk in Great Strides in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Insure the Cure was formed in honor of Clay Snellings’ daughter, Emily. Emily was born with cystic fibrosis, a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that affects every organ in the body and makes breathing difficult. Currently, there is no cure-but we are striving to change that.
The insurance community has raised over $3 million to fuel the mission of the CF Foundation. Thanks to the steadfast support of Insure the Cure teams and supporters, the CF Foundation has led the way in the fight against cystic fibrosis, fueling extraordinary medical and scientific progress, as well as, advancing advocacy and care. The CF Foundation has fostered the development of life saving CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Today, the life expectancy of someone with CF has risen to age fifty-two. When Emily was born in 1997, this number was just thirty-one.
But we are not done. We are working every day to build on this incredible momentum, and we will not stop until there is a cure for all people living with CF. Thank you for joining us as we try to help Insure the Cure!
As our key partners across the state of Georgia, we are asking once again for you to join us in the fight for a cure.
