Our Story
Alright friends and family, you know the drill. We are about to embark on our fourth year fundraising as team, Strides for Sienna, for the Charlotte, Danbury and Syracuse chapters Great Strides event.
We walk for Sienna and everyone else battling this terrible disease. We hope you will support us in our efforts to find a cure for CF! Our goal is to keep Sienna's little lungs and body healthy enough to take advantage of all the new medicines and therapies coming to market - thanks to the last few decades of research and fundraising! Until a cure is found, Sienna does twice daily treatments when healthy, and three - four daily treatments when sick. At this time, her daily regimen includes inhaled medicines and chest percussion therapy, which she handles like a champ.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. Almost weekly I hear of a child or young adult losing his/her battle with CF. There still is no cure for this devastating disease and we need to keep research moving forward!
By walking today, we are helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis, like Sienna. Will you join us? If you can't make the walk in one of these locations, you can choose to support this cause so close to our heart by making a donation to our Great Strides fundraising campaign today. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
