My Team CF Story

I started doing these races and ultra-marathons a little over a year after Beckett was born, for many reasons but the main ones being that I needed something in my life that would require discipline, challenge me, and show my newly born child that you can accomplish things that seem impossible in the moment, if you just chip away at them consistently. This is something that was absent from my life before I had Beckett but once he was diagnosed with CF, I was faced with a decision to either let this new and scary path overcome me or use it as strength. It most certainly took some time and a lot of soul searching to get to a place where I felt confident to pursue these adventures but once I made the decision, I dove in head first and haven't looked back! Seeing Beckett tackle every obstacle and remain steadfast in his enjoyment for life, has made these races easy in comparison to what he has to deal with on a daily basis, so please help us get closer to our mission of curing cystic fibrosis. We are closer than ever and with the pandemic taking over this past year, we took a big hit, so help us get back on track and lets make CF stand for Cure Found!!

 

There are approximately 40,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis -- a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe.
