My Team CF Story

As an advanced lung disease physician specializing in lung transplantation, I've witnessed the transformative impact of such procedures on patients with conditions like cystic fibrosis (CF). My inspiration stems from hearing patient stories about the life-altering changes post-transplantation, particularly for those who previously struggled to breathe. Despite advancements like Trikafta, which has significantly improved the quality of life for many with CF, lung transplantation remains the only option for some with progressive lung disease. I'm deeply moved by the resilience of patients who, despite their health challenges, have shown incredible strength and determination.

I am thrilled to participate in the Chicago Marathon 2024, running alongside those who have overcome health challenges and those who run to improve others' lives through fundraising. As a pulmonologist, I appreciate the role of exercise in managing dyspnea and aim to lead by example. My goal is to raise funds for the CF Foundation, fueling research for more effective treatments and supporting the ongoing fight against CF.
