My Team CF Story
This past week I officially registered for the 2020 Chicago Marathon and I am humbled to be running for a cause and an organization that has become close to my heart over the last several years.
Personally and professionally I have been impacted by many of the 30,000 Americans living with cystic
fibrosis -- a genetic, life-shortening disease. I have seen young adults have their lives cut too short. I’ve met kids who spend hours a week doing treatments that allow them to breathe and keep their lungs healthy. Others who are anxiously awaiting a transplant. And parents who spend their lives giving everything they have to try and ensure that their kids will live long lives.
Thanks to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, real progress has been made in the search for a cure. However, the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease, but together, we can help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis.
