My Team CF Story

Dearest friends and family,
This year I will be running my 5th Chicago Marathon and in my fitness journey have additionally participated in 7 full Ironman events. This year's marathon is a special one for me because I run for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization that has been near and dear to me for my entire life. I have a goal to raise $1,750 on their behalf, because there is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Team CF, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.
Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. With the help of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, people with CF are living longer than ever before, but the disease still commonly leads to serious health issues and even death for people affected by it.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going!
