My Team CF Story

Greetings Friends and Family!

Due to the encouragement of several friends, I will be running in the Chicago Marathon next October. As an entry fee, the Chicago Marathon allows participants to run for a charity.  I knew the CF Foundation would be my pick as I scrolled through the many worthy charities.

This organization means a lot to me as my younger cousin was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis right after he was born.  He  was the recent Gala Ambassador at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation  in St. Louis .  Here is a link to the video they produced for the Gala:

This would be my first ever marathon and it would be an honor to run for your organization with my special, family connection. I will be running the race for Ryan!

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Team CF, a donation will help to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.

Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going. Your support makes a difference.
