My Team CF Story

I am excited and honored to be back running the 2024 Chicago Marathon AGAIN on behalf of Team CF Superheroes, and my cousin, Chris Van Tiem who has CF! I've looked up to Chris my entire life. He is the reason I attended the best college in the world - the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!) I was also lucky enough to be there with Chris when he ran his first half marathon (Sleeping Bear Dunes) in 2021. It was only fitting that he was the one to run me in and help me finish my first marathon that day, and not the other way around!

For over 16 years, Team CF Superheroes have been helping add tomorrows for those living with cystic fibrosis by dedicating their miles at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon to finding a cure. The 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will take place on Sunday, October 13, 2024. 

There are nearly 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis -- a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe.
