My Team CF Story

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis -- a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease. One of them happens to be Louisa Ellis, the 6 year old daughter of one of my best lifeguard buddies. She's always been incredible, but she also happens to be one of Scotty's best friends. She is always kind, patient, and loving with Scotty, showing her how to ride a scooter, draw chalk outlines, and hold hands. We want to make sure that they can continue their lifelong friendship for as long as possible, which is why we surf and fundraise for a cure for Louisa and her 30,000 CF compatriots.

This year we will looking to reclaim our title and the third in four years. Points are awarded for party waves, dancing while riding waves, and sheer quantity. Lucky for us, no points are awarded for actual style or skill. This year I'll be joining Tripp in the Speedo challenge. I'll surf the whole contest in a Speedo IF we can raise $2000!
