My Xtreme Hike Story
Can you believe Ellie is already 10 years old?! She has been doing really well this past year even with staying home all year for school because of COVID. She is excited to get the vaccine when it's ready for her age group so she can get back to normal, see her friends, and go to school. She is still taking Kalydeco (a CF drug developed from the support of the CF Foundation) and staying healthy. We are so grateful that she has been healthy not just through COVID but pretty much her whole life and that there are medications to help keep her that way.
Every year since she was born (except 2020), we've walked in the Great Strides walk to raise money for the CF Foundation. This year, we decided to up our game and try the 16 mile Xtreme Hike!
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support me!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Xtreme Hike fundraising campaign today!
