My Xtreme Hike Story
Hey everyone! I am participating in an "Xtreme Hike" September 25th to fundraise with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). It's a 13-mile loop, socially distant, masked, and all for a great cause. If you can, it would mean a lot to support this through any donation you can provide.
For some additional info about Cystic Fibrosis (CF). CF is a rare genetic disease that impacts the lungs and pancreas, elevating the risk of respiratory infection, requiring digestive enzymes and multiple breathing treatments daily, among other treatments depending on the person's genetics and age. Currently, there is no cure, but there's been substantial progress in recent years for drug or airway clearance therapy, in part due to events like these, fundraising in the fight.
So if you can, it would mean a lot if you could donate to help fight CF. Using this link donates directly through the Metro DC chapter of the foundation, and subsequently put forth to the national fight. The hike is 22 days from now, and obviously asking for money during a global pandemic, national recession, and civil unrest is difficult, so truly any dollar amount or vocal support is appreciated. Also, sharing this post can do a lot in spreading awareness about the disease and efforts to find a cure, and that is free!
