My Xtreme Hike Story

As most of you know, I hike for my daughter Elena who has cystic fibrosis - a genetic, debilitating lung disease. Over the years, she has benefitted tremendously from your ongoing, loving, generous support! Thank you! With your help, the CF Foundation developed Trikafta - a miraculous drug that fixes CF at the cellular level thereby preventing or reducing life threatening symptoms. Since going on Trikafta, Elena no longer needs nebulized medications or physical therapy which frees up 1.5-2 hours each day - valuable time for a college junior. For other CF patients, Trikafta means no longer needing a lung transplant; being able to have children; walking without getting winded; ending CF related diabetes.... For all CF patients taking Trikafta, it means a longer, healthier life. There are, however, CF patients with nonsense mutations unable to take Trikafta; for them - and for the ongoing search for a cure - we continue to ask for your donation and, if possible, for you to join our hike team.
