My Xtreme Hike Story
My Hike Story
My name is Courtney Long, and I'm hoping you will join me on a heartfelt mission to raise funds for cystic fibrosis (CF) research. My inspiration for this cause is my dearest friend Megan. Megan and I first met a decade ago when I moved to Shaler, and our friendship blossomed instantly, much like our daughters, who became fast friends as well.
Megan is an extraordinary person—her dedication, compassion, and creativity are unmatched. She juggles life's challenges with incredible grace and resilience. Over the years, I've watched her navigate the ups and downs of living with CF with strength and positivity.
One of the most profound experiences I've had was witnessing the transformative impact of CF research on Megan's life. When Megan began participating in a clinical trial for Trikafta, a groundbreaking CF drug, the results were nothing short of remarkable. Trikafta has been a game-changer for many CF patients, improving lung function and overall health significantly. Seeing Megan's health improve so drastically because of this advancement has fueled my determination to support the ongoing fight against cystic fibrosis.
To support this cause, I am participating in the CF Foundation's Xtreme Hike. This event will challenge Megan, Emily, and me as we hike 24 miles in one day. It’s a physically demanding endeavor, but it’s a small challenge compared to what those with CF face every day. I’m committed to pushing my limits to help raise awareness and funds for CF research.
Your contributions will help ensure that more lives are touched by these life-changing advancements. Thank you for considering supporting this crucial cause. Together, we can make a difference and give hope to countless families affected by cystic fibrosis.
