My Xtreme Hike Story
For those who don't know, my little brother Mattew has cystic fibrosis. Growing up, I wanted to go to all of his doctors' appointments to understand what I could do to help him. Being a kid myself, it wasn't much other than just being the best of friends and patiently waiting for him to finish his treatments so we could continue to build forts, watch Beetlejuice, play wii, and all of the things' siblings do.
We would go the Great Strides in Pittsburgh every year and as a first grader, I would ask all my teachers if they wanted to donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation so they could help my little brother.
I have now have the honor to work at the Metro DC Chapter doing what I can to help Matthew and all CF fighters.
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support me!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Xtreme Hike fundraising campaign today
