My Xtreme Hike Story

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. My dearest friend Catherine lived gracefully and joyfully despite struggling every day with this disease. Catherine was an inspiration to me and so many others. She connected people and brought smiles everywhere she went. We tragically lost Catherine when she was just 45 years old, a friend to so many, a beautiful wife, and an incredible mother. It was a devastating loss to so many, and there is not a day that goes by that I don't miss her presence in my life. 

 

I was so fortunate to learn avbout the CFF Xtreme Hike fundraiser--it has given me a way to celebrate Catherine, spend time with her family, and meet so many wonderful people doing amazing things to make a real difference in helping people with Cystic Fibrosis live better and longer lives every day. I hike for them, and I hike for Catherine. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?

Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
