Our Xtreme Hike Story

Cystic fibrosis is a rare, life-shortening, genetic disease found in about 40,000 people in the U.S. that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breath over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends -- all struggling each day just to breathe. Kiran is one of them. 

That’s why we are participating in Xtreme Hike, a powerful and unique event that empowers participants across the nation to take the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis to new heights. We hike for all those living with CF to add tomorrows to their lives. This year we will be hiking the 25 miles in one day to raise funds and awareness to directly support the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

By making a donation to Team Kiran you are joining a group of people committed to finding a cure for CF. Because of tremendous advancements in research, treatments, and care, many people with CF are living long enough to realize their dreams of attending college, pursuing careers, and having a family of their own.

In the seven years since we have become involved with the CFF, Team Kiran has been able to contribute almost $360,000 to the cause. We are forever grateful for the support of so many and hope to continue this level of fundraising for the CFF and their life saving mission. There is no cure for cystic fibrosis.
