My Xtreme Hike Story
My Hike Story
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis, and I hike because the funds raised in events like the CFF Xtreme hike have made a difference in the lives of a family I love. Team Kiran was started by my friends, Carolyn and Arvind, in support of their son Kiran, who was diagnosed with CF as a baby. Thanks to a new miracle drug, and the ongoing work being done at CFF, Kiran is living his best 9-year old life - playing soccer, tearing through books, walking my son Archie around the Met and crushing the ski slopes with his twin, Raj.
By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
Your support makes a difference.
By donating to my fundraising goal, you will help advance our mission for a cure for all. Please consider joining us and helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
