My Xtreme Hike Story

Dear Friends, Family & Team Kiran Supporters,

In 2016, my dear friend Carolyn’s son, Kiran, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.  CF is a rare genetic disease that affects approximately 40,000 Americans and 100,000 people worldwide.    Kiran today is a very active 2nd grader, and his health has remained strong thanks to drug developments in recent years.   

This June, Team Kiran will again be participating in the CFF Xtreme Hike, a one-day 25 mile hike in the Berkshires to continue our efforts in supporting the CFF. The CFF's mission is to fund research and drug development, promote individualized treatment, and ensure access to high-quality, specialized care to all living with CF.

After several years of participation from abroad, this June I will be travelling from Geneva to hike in person alongside my fellow Team Kiran members!  The reality of CF is that currently there is no cure, and the miracle drugs that Kiran is so fortunate to benefit from, do not work for all.   To support further advancements and the goal of a one-time cure for all living with CF, please consider making a donation to the Team Kiran.
