My Xtreme Hike Story
Liz, Pat, me & Diane post-2022 Hike
2022 Xtreme Hike Eve - Pat & me
Dear friends,
I will be hiking in my 11th CFF Xtreme hike this Saturday. Each year is more challenging but each step I hike, I take so Patrick and other CF friends can live longer & healthier lives. Patrick just graduated from Boston College and has successfully landed a PR gig in Boston starting later this summer – YAYYY Pat!
Through last year’s hike, THANKS TO ALL OF YOU, the Posse raised just under $500K since we started hiking. These funds have a direct impact on CF medical research and advances. Patrick has benefited from many of these including the breakthrough CF modulator Trikafta which he continues to use successfully. Life expectancy has increased for CF patients from 31 in ‘05 to 56 in ‘23 – amazing but we can move it higher! More funds raised will result in additional treatments bringing viable options to ALL CF patients.
So the Posse will be hitting the trail again for 10-12 hours hoping to complete 20 miles & 5k ft of elevation in one day! If you are in a position to donate, please know that ALL and ANY size donations make an impact. You can donate at http://fightcf.cff.org/goto/Xtreme_Posse_LindaD or by check payable to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, mailed to: Linda Douglas, 45 Sacramento Street, Unit 1, Cambridge, MA 02138
On Saturday, please send positive thoughts & prayers for some dry, cool weather & a safe day in the Berks. I think I’ll be finishing about the same time as the Belmont winner!
With love & gratitude,
Linda & the Posse xxoo
