My Xtreme Hike Story

In April of 2005, my son, Nicolas, who was born with a complicated set of challenges, ultimately succumbed to an interstitial lung disease at the age of nine months. Although he did not have cystic fibrosis, breathing was a huge challenge. Through this experience we developed a deep compassion for those living with CF and other diseases that face a daily struggle just to breathe and function. 

Amazing progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure and many lives are cut far too short. Now that Aili and Alex have reached the minimum ages required, we're taking the next big step in supporting a cure for CF. In March we started training for a 26 mile endurance hike over Jiminy Peak in honor of Nicolas and for all those afflicted with CF. The hike takes place on June 10th.
