My Xtreme Hike Story

This is my 13th consecutive year hiking for the Xtreme Hike For a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis in honor of my sister Danielle.  I have been involved with the CFF for over 35 years and this has become my favorite event.   The CF  community at this event has been instrumental in keeping my sister’s memory alive while making tremendous strides in finding treatments to extend the life expectancy of individuals living with this disease.

In 2005 the life expectancy for someone with CF was only 31 years old.  By 2021 it was up to the mid 40s and today in 2024 it is 56 years old!

There is still much more work to be done and any donations would be greatly appreciated.

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I hike for them. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?

Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
