My Xtreme Hike Story
My Hike Story
I am hiking the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation because of my friend Robert's daughter, who is bravely living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Witnessing their family's challenges and the dedication Robert and Dawn have shown to raising funds and awareness each year through this event has deeply moved me to support the cause.
This hike is a way to raise awareness and educate others about CF, a rare and often misunderstood condition, while advocating for the needs of the CF community. Fundraising through this event supports crucial research aimed at finding a cure and developing better treatments. Additionally, this challenging hike builds a supportive community, connecting me with others who share this mission and inspiring more participation. It also personally challenges me, symbolizing the resilience and perseverance required by those living with CF. Through this effort, I aim to contribute to a legacy of hope and progress, ensuring that future generations have better treatment options and ultimately a cure. Each step I take across the breathtaking landscape of the Grand Canyon on June 8th will be a step closer to a cure, demonstrating to Robert and Dawn’s daughter and everyone affected by CF that they are not alone and that a community is rallying behind them.
Your support makes a difference.
By donating to my fundraising goal, you will help advance our mission for a cure for all. Please consider joining us and helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
