My Xtreme Hike Story
Content to be updated at later date. Internet issues.
Dear Family and Friends,
The last few years I have participated in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Xtreme Hike to raise funds on behalf of my nine year old grandson, Jack, who has cystic fibrosis (CF). We will be hiking from the South Rim to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon on October 12th this year. We have 24 hikers and 6 guides participating and our goal is to raise $120,000.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is a very prudent steward of the money raised by each regional chapter and by the many individuals involved. The incredible successes that have been achieved by the Foundation, as evidenced by the medications that have resulted in increased improvement in both life expectancy and quality of life for CF patients, is something that every disease foundation is attempting to emulate. We may not have a cure yet, but there is no doubt that we will have one soon. Optimism is in the air.
Jack is an energetic boy who loves baseball and creating designs on his computer while doing his treatments each day. If you are willing and able, please consider donating to this worthwhile cause. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. My family and friends have been incredibly generous over the years, and I am so grateful. Thanks to all of you who help us support this cause!
Sincerely,
Robbin K
