My Xtreme Hike Story

Jan lived her life to the fullest before and after her double lung transplant. She was a model and an inspiration for so many people! She was my sister-in-law, but before that and more importantly she was my friend. We had so many wonderful times together that will never be forgotten.

Jan never gave up fighting Cystic Fibrosis or the rejection her body went into at the end. She didn't know the meaning of the word quit. In her memory, I have signed up for the Extreme Hike this fall. It has been on my bucket list for years to attempt one. This year, I am completing my fourth Extreme Hike! I am asking for your donations in honor of Jan.  Jan was so excited about progress being made and especially in the medication Trifecta that is showing such progress, but there is still more to be done. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. Imagine struggling to breathe! Something most of us take for granted everyday. I hike for them as well. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?

Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
