Team Breathe Deep
Over 17 years ago I joined my wife Kelly on her journey and fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Young and blissfully ignorant we had no idea what struggles we would face. A few years ago our worst fears were staring us directly in the face. Kelly’s CF had worsened significantly and for the first time in our relationship we couldn’t see what tomorrow looked like for us. We had reached a point where all we could do was pray for the best and prepare for the worst. Then in January of 2017 our prayers were answered and Kelly received a lifesaving double lung transplant. I’m excited to say today, Kelly is doing great and we can once again see tomorrow.
Kelly’s story has the power to inspire but without action the inspiration quickly fades. Only a few days after her transplant, while she was recovering in the hospital, we had a conversation about how lucky we were and how we both felt that we had been put through this struggle for a reason. Though Kelly’s struggle had brought us to our knees ultimately through that struggle we found purpose.
Our Creed
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.”

Team Breathe Deep chooses to walk beside those fighting CF. We accept the challenge. We will pass through the narrow gate and travel the narrow road. Until CF stands for “Cure Found”.
On September 23 I will hike over 30 miles along with my teammates and many other hikers. Our mission is to raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis and raise funds for research focused on adding tomorrows to the lives of those with CF.
