My Xtreme Hike Story
Myself, along with a contingent of my colleagues and family members from AXIA are proud to, again, be returning to MO to participate in, and sponsor Team Isabelle and the Gateway Chapter Xtreme Hike. AXIA has been a continuing sponsor of Team Isabelle and Xtreme Hike for the past 11 years. Even when COVID interrupted our direct participation in 2020 and 2021, we continued to support this event through our own Hike in PA. We returned in 2022 to join the Hike at Lake of the Ozarks, and are, again, excited to get back on the trail with the entire group this year, the 12th anniversary of this event.
This is my 10th year as a Hiker. Xtreme Hike has become an annual event for our family and AXIA, with Maureen and other members of our family and AXIA working as volunteers to support us if they are not hiking. It takes a village to execute an event like this. I continue to encourage colleagues at AXIA to join us, and have been blessed to have many of them from all over the country join us for the event. Last year we had 18 hikers from AXIA participate. It has become a go-to event each year for our firm, and as we have continued to grow I look forward to, again, having a good sized contingent of colleagues join us.
Isabelle continues to do very well. She is rising up the ladder at Enterprise Holdings, continually taking on larger responsibilities. She, like many other victims of CF, has continued to benefit from the new treatments released over the past several years thanks, in large part, to the funding made available through events like Xtreme Hike. ...this continues to be why I do it.
My family, friends, business associates, and colleagues at AXIA have been huge supporters of our efforts over the years. I have, again, set my personal goal for $10,000. I appreciate, beyond words, AXIA's continued sponsorship of Xtreme Hike and the continued participation of a number of my colleagues who join us on the hike and also raise funds to Fight for a Cure.
Thank you to those of you who have supported our successful efforts. I ask that you, again, consider donating to support our efforts in 2024.
Please help me use this fun, challenging event as a platform to spread awareness and raise funds to continue to develop and improve treatments to strike down this life-threatening, genetic disease which impacts more than 30,000 Americans and 70,000 people worldwide.
Thank you, again, for your support!
