My Hike Story

Hey All, 

This is going to be my 9th or 10th CF Hike for a cure and I am excited to have signed up in my new home state of Colorado. While I miss my hiking comrades in Massachusetts the opportunity to hike in Vail in the fall with tow of my best friends, Amos and David was too appealing! 

So, why hike you may ask? There  is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF and especially those patients and families affected by the disease here in Colorado. 

In my experience, each year over the 10 years of various participation levels in the CF hike for a cure in Massachusetts and North Carolina as we gather we hear about how the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments. The problem is that the treatments, at this point are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going and leave nobody behind.
