My Xtreme Hike Story

Hiking has been a favorite activity of ours for many years, and we have been able to reach amazing destinations like the top of Mount Whitney, the distant Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon, beautiful cliffs in Sedona, the forests and mountains of Mammoth Lakes, and many other beautiful sights in the wilderness. We take for granted our healthy lungs to be able to accomplish these goals, but for many people with Cystic Fibrosis, they may never have had a chance to do similar activities until recently because of the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis, and the disease affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. But by participating in Xtreme Hike we are helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF through fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments. Not everyone can benefit from them, so we must keep going.
