My Hike Story

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for myself, my two siblings, and the thousands of other people impacted by CF.

Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. My siblings and I were blessed to have only mild cases of this life threatening disease, but spent our childhood doing treatments, taking daily medications, and in the hospital.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including the life changing drug called Trikafta that allows us to live nearly normal lives— but these treatments are not a cure and unfortunately not everyone in the CF community can benefit from them. We must keep going.
