My Hike Story

During my short time as an Athletic Trainer, I have had the privilege to witness students not only succeed but excel on and off the field with Cystic Fibrosis. There have been groundbreaking changes in the CF world during this time. New drugs and new treatments changing the trajectory of my student's lives in high school and beyond. The Walton Family is a perfect example of this. 

This year I am excited to participate in Xtreme Hike with some very special people, Waltons Warriors, to help raise money to fight Cystic Fibrosis and find a cure. 

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF. Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues. 

Over the last 20 years, Waltons Warriors has raised over $337,500 towards eradicating the very existence of Cystic Fibrosis and we are not stopping now! By fund raising to help fight CF , I hope to see even more options for patients affected by cystic fibrosis, even more lives changed for the better, and even more of my students able to enjoy their lives to the fullest!
