My Xtreme Hike Story

There are approximately 70,000 people living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I hike for all of them...but closer to home, I hike for our good friend Breanna, who is referenced on our team page. She was diagnosed with CF at age 2, has spent much of her life in hospitals, was on oxygen full time and faced double lung replacement before she was introduced to a relatively new medicine called Trikafta.  Since then, she has stayed out of hospitals, gotten almost completely off of oxygen, graduated from college, has a wonderful career and recently got married!

Trikafta was made possible by contributions from folks like you!  Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short.
