Join our team, #TeamTeddy and help us get one step closer to a cure for cystic fibrosis – a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that makes it difficult to breathe.

What is Cystic Fibrosis?

It is a devastating genetic disease that can affect the lungs, pancreas and other organs by the accumulation of thick, sticky mucous in the body - making it particulary hard to breathe for CFers. For many living with CF, this disease sadly shortens lives. There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis, including our son (and nephew), Teddy. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe.

We hike for them and we are hiking for Teddy. Will you join us and support our fundraising goal?

Hiking the App Trail for 10+ hours in one day is going to take a lot of training and will not be easy. However, one could say life is ‘not easy’ for Teddy - but you would never know it. Daily he has to take a prescribed set of medications, sit still and commit hours to breathing treatments, follow a very specific diet - all to be able to breathe and function as normally as possible. He does all of this without skipping a beat and usually with a massive smile on his face. Now he fights every day so that he can be a big brother to our baby boy and we are going to fight right alongside him and do whatever we can to ensure that CF stands for CURE FOUND in his lifetime.
