My Xtreme Hike Story
Virginia Creeper Trail - Mile 8
me and mom in the rain
Hi there! I'm Quint, I'm 14, and I'm doing the first Junior XTREME hike. I'll be hiking at least 15 miles with my mom, Kassandra.
I've been involved with the CFF even before I was born. My family was involved with cystic fibrosis after my cousin, Elizabeth, was born. I've been to most of the XTREME HIKES as either a volunteer, as a visitor, and finally, this time, as a hiker. When Elizabeth was born, the average life expectancy was 37. Now, with the medical advancements and life-saving drugs such as Orkambi or Trikafta, that life expectancy is up to 56.
When I was 7, I wanted to help fundraise for my parent's hikes. With my cookie and lemonade stand, I've been able to donate over $7,000 to the CFF. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help Elizabeth and others with cystic fibrosis.
See you on the trails and thank you for your support!
