My Xtreme Hike Story
My sweet nephew Teddy bear is the reason I will dedicate the next few months to training for the second biggest hike I have ever done. Teddy is such an inspiration to my entire family. He is so full of life and probably the smartest and funniest 6 year old I have ever met. Teddy does not even realize the impact he has made on the ones around him. I hope and pray he keeps that smile and that drive to live everyday to the fullest.
2022 brought Teddy a new baby brother and he was eligible to start Trikafta!!!
RSV has really done a number this year, but thankfully & likely due to Trikafta Teddy was able to avoid a hospital stay when he had RSV.
I hope and pray everyday for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis for Teddy and his family who love him so dearly (including me ).
I will picture sweet Teddy's face the entire time and I am sure my sister and I will facetime him for motivation when our legs are ready to give out for a little motivation!!!! Don't take hugging the ones you love for granted, because some of us cannot always hug the ones we love so that we can keep them safe.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I hike for them. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support me!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Xtreme Hike fundraising campaign today!
