My Xtreme Hike Story

Hey friends! Many of you know that I completed an Xtreme hike a few years back with one of my best friends, Heather. Last fall I trained to complete the Fall hike and due to Hurricane Ian the date was changed and I was unable to hike. To those that donated thank you so much and your money will be transferred over to the spring hike this April!

So many people ask me why I hike!! This is my why- There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I hike for them! This is one of the hardest physical activities I have ever completed (30.1 miles in 1 day) I don't take for granted my ability to move and breathe!!

Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this disease and many lives are cut far too short. We've come so far, but there's still so much work to do. I will not stop hiking until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind!
