So you want to know why I HIKE?
This year I am hiking my 5th Xtreme Hike supporting the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation! With two before the pandemic and two "build your own hikes" during it, I am finally returning to the trail April 22nd, committed to hiking 23 miles on the AT! As Team Fighting Fish we continue to take step after step to find a CURE for CF, which as many of you know my teenage kids, Colin (15) and Katelyn (13), both have. We hike not only for C+K, but also for the 35,000+ other people in the US who FIGHT CF every single day.
Please join me in contributing to the CF Foundation and towards my personal goal of $5,000! Believe me when I say that every last cent is spent responsibly - 85 cents to the dollar in fact! These crucial funds make sure there are medications available for those with CF so they can breathe more easily and live without so many digestive issues - so that ONE DAY they can take that last pill, that last treatment, stop worrying about a double lung transplant, and FINALLY be CURED!
