My Hike Story
I’m Anderson Pritchard and I am 14 years old. I was diagnosed with CF shortly after I was born. Through the years I have had a hospital stay, sinus surgery, and taken countless amounts of medication to keep me healthy.
I love hiking and this will be my second extreme hike. The first one I hiked 20 miles and this year I plan to hike the full 30! I hike with my Dad and with my bagpipe teacher Gordon! We make a great team.
I also enjoy playing the bagpipes and this would not be possible without the many generous donation to the CFF through the years. The raised money has gone into research that has created new medication that I am able to benefit from!
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.
Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
Your support makes a difference.
By donating to my fundraising goal, you will help advance our mission for a cure for all. Please consider joining us and helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
