My Hike Story

As a social worker and sibling of someone with cystic fibrosis (CF), the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation holds a special place in my heart. Every day, I witness the profound impact of our fundraising efforts, both in my personal life and in the lives of the individuals and families I support.

What inspires me most about the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is its origin. In 1955, a group of determined parents, unwilling to accept the grim prognosis that their children might not live to see elementary school, came together. They organized to raise funds, increase awareness, and provide critical support to families facing the same challenges.

Thanks to the unwavering dedication of the CF Foundation, the average life expectancy for someone with CF has soared into the 50s, and it continues to rise each year. But there is still more work to be done. Your support can help us reach new milestones, transforming the future for those living with CF.
