My Xtreme Hike Story
My Hike Story
Our beautiful daughter, Chandler, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when she was just 9 days old. Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive genetic disease that causes a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The type and severity of CF symptoms can differ widely from person to person. There are still a lot of unknowns for us, but we work incredibly hard every single day to do everything we can to help Chandler lead the most normal, happy, & healthy life possible. She has been doing AMAZINGLY well over the past year & it is because of your generous donations & the incredible doctors & scientists behind the CF Foundation & on our team that she has had access to the lifesaving medications & treatments that have led us here today. We are forever, abundantly grateful!
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
Your support makes a difference.
By donating to my fundraising goal, you will help advance our mission for a cure for all. Please consider joining us and helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
