I didn't get enough of Mt. Hood last year so I'm heading back to tackle ANOTHER 20 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in Mt. Hood National Forest while raising funds to support research for cystic fibrosis.
Your support over the years has made a tremendous impact:
- the predicted median age of survival for people with CF is now 61!! This has jumped up almost 20 years since I got involved with the foundation 8 years ago!
- mental health is being supported by the Foundation with over $7.6M awarded in 2023 for projects to support mental health research (it’s about the whole body)
- to address known health care gaps, the Foundation provided Health Equity Science Awards and continued advocating for essential health programs that expand and protect coverage for people with CF
- clinical trials for FIVE early-stage genetic therapies are currently underway, such as mRNA therapies, that could potentially benefit EVERYONE with CF
