2024 Oregon Xtreme Hike - Mt. Hood - Pacific Crest Trail
My Xtreme Hike Story
My Hike Story
Please consider donating to my annual Xtreme Hike! Next month, Scott and I will attempt hiking 20 miles in one day on Mt. Hood. To be honest, we’re not sure if the fitness is there this year and we may have to do a shorter loop. But no matter what- we know first-hand that your fundraising dollars are changing lives, and we are committed to showing up.
For those of you who don’t know, I worked for CFF as a Development Director for over five years, and have organized and participated in Xtreme Hikes through Yosemite and Tahoe, and have helped bring it to the PNW. Although I’ve changed careers, I am now a board member in the Portland/ SW Washington office. I continue to be so inspired by the CF fighters and their familys, and the incredible progress the Foundation is leading through your donation efforts.
Please consider donating what you can to support the CF Foundation, and to support us on our *attempt* at some sort of Xtreme Hike.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Xtreme Hike, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.
Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
Your support makes a difference.
By donating to my fundraising goal, you will help advance our mission for a cure for all. Please consider joining us and helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
